My name is Tom Parsons.

This extensive body of work is taken from my international travels, through the places that I visit. I photograph what I find. Streets, the busyness of life. Landscapes and our relationships within them. Architecture, the human defined landscape and how our designs live within these environments. Environmental portraiture, the quiet moments within the hustle and bustle of human life. Moments of genuine presence.

This is not documentary in the journalistic sense. I am not reporting. I am not illustrating a narrative someone else has written.

I am searching for the moments when the world aligns with my understanding of it. When the noise stops. When something essential reveals itself.

These prints exist to hold that clarity. Realised at scale, in black and white, on archival materials. Not as spectacle. As fact.

They remind you what it feels like to stop.
